A. ENGINEER'S SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The Engineer shall be responsible for the following listed <br />activities and services: <br /> <br /> 1, Maintain liaison with Railroads, in an effort to <br />expedite railroad trackwork, technical reviews, and other <br />work performed by railroad forces. Consult with Railroads <br />with respect to location of piers and footings on railroad <br />property and/or adjacent to railroad tracks, shooflyS, <br />maintaining rail traffic during construction, and other <br />design requirements. <br /> <br /> 2. Maintain liaison with the Public Utilities Commission <br />of the State of California, with respect to PUC Order <br />Authorizing ConstruCtion. <br /> <br /> 3. Coordinate design activities for portions ef the <br />Project which may be designed by City or others. <br /> <br /> 4. Maintain continuous liaison with City, Railroads, <br />and other interested utility or public agencies. Submit <br />plans and suitable documentation to applicable agencies for <br />review and approval. <br /> <br /> 5. Provide continuing consultation and advice to City <br />on all matters relating to the Project. <br /> <br /> 6. Prepare final design plans, except for those <br /> <br />portions of the Project for which City reserves the right to <br />perform its own design. Final design is to be limited to <br />the railroad bridge structure only, excluding roadway approaches. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
