ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> 10 Weather In the event of heavy rain or other severe weather conditions, the <br /> scheduled sweeping service may be suspended. A request to not sweep will be made by <br /> the Contractor and accepted or denied by the City within eight hours of receipt. <br /> 11 Water Contractor shall obtain a bulk water meter from City of Pleasanton <br /> Utility Billing Department for the sweeping operation. The deposit service charge fee on <br /> the water meter and the cost of the water used shall be borne by the Contractor. <br /> 12 Dust Control The proper volume and pressure of water will be supplied <br /> by the sweeper and shall be in good working condition at all times to adequately control <br /> dust during the sweeping operations. <br /> 13 Traffic Counters The Contractor is cautioned that at various times and <br /> locations, the City will temporarily install portable traffic counters which utilize a hose <br /> placed in the roadway. When an area with a counter is swept. care should be taken to <br /> avoid the counter hose. <br /> 14 Speed The Contractor shall operate the sweepers between three and five <br /> miles per hour when sweeping. unless it can be proven, to the satisfaction of the Assistant <br /> Director or designee, the sweeper can operate at a higher speed and still operate <br /> efficiently. <br /> 15 Call Backs Whenever, in the opinion of the Assistant Director, a section <br /> of street is inadequately swept. the Contractor shall, within 24 hours after notification. re- <br /> sweep the section in question and may. at the discretion of the Assistant Director. forfeit <br /> One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each time a street is inadequately swept as liquidate <br /> damages. No additional payment will be made for callback sweeping. <br /> 16 Disposal Contractor shall dump. at no cost, all street debris collected <br /> pursuant to this contract at the Disposal Transfer Station located at 3110 Busch Road, <br /> Pleasanton. California. No dumpstcr or stockpile sites will he allowed. <br />
