Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 1990 approving PUD -77, Dutra Trust; <br />application for Planned Unit Development (PUD) development plan approval to subdivide a <br />ten -acre site located at 1053 Happy Valley Road into five single family residential lots and one <br />open space parcel. (Sullivan voted no) <br />Finance <br />7. Accepted the Monthly Disbursements and Investment Report for March 2009 <br />Parks and Community Services <br />8. Adopted Resolution No. 09 -281 authorizing submittal of FY 2009/2010 applications for <br />Alameda County Measure B Funds and Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 4.5 <br />Funds for the Pleasanton Paratransit Service <br />9. Accepted gift from Nancy and Gary Harrington "Monet's Bench a bronze sculpture by artist <br />Gary Lee Price <br />10. Accepted gift from Pleasanton artist Debbie Wardrope "Century House a pastel painting <br />MOTION: It was M/S by Cook Kallio /Thorne to approve Consent Calendar as submitted and as <br />noted. Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />Councilmember McGovern recognized Jack and Polly Dove for their 63 Wedding Anniversary <br />11. Presentation of proclamation proclaiming May as Older Americans Month <br />Councilmember McGovern presented and read into the record, a proclamation to Christine Steiner, <br />Pleasanton Senior Center Advisory Committee Member, and Alameda County Commissioner on <br />Aging. <br />Ms. Steiner recognized and introduced Volunteers of the Senior Center, former members of the <br />Commission on Aging, and she thanked the Council for their financial support and those who <br />volunteer their time for seniors for their support. She discussed issues of a changing senior <br />population and diversity and changes to programs to address this, and she presented a gift to the <br />Council. <br />Mayor Hosterman, on behalf of the City Council, thanked all volunteers in the community. <br />12. Public Comment <br />Wendy Weathers, Operations Manager at Open Heart Kitchen, announced their new program. <br />Plant a Garden for Open Heart Kitchen. She asked people to bring their extra produce to site, said <br />they will have a booth on the First Wednesdays of the month, and reported they serve over 150,000 <br />nutritious, hot meals a year to people in the Tri- Valley area.
