CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOINIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-412 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO REORGANIZE THE FIELD SERVICES ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />Field Services includes four divisions in the Public Works <br />Department - water, sewer, park maintenance, and street <br />maintenance; and <br /> <br />VPHEREAS, <br /> <br />said reorganization is anticipated to result in improved <br />responsiveness to users of the City's parks and reduce <br />management personnel; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves a management reorganization which <br /> <br /> (a) places park maintenance responsibilities <br /> under the Director of Recreation and <br /> Human Resources and <br /> (b) combines the two Public Works Superintendent <br /> positions into one position of Field Services <br /> Superintendent with responsibility over water <br /> operation and distribution, sewerage collection <br /> and storm drains, street maintenance and park <br /> maintenance. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 14, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Peter D.
