Minutes <br />Planning Commissio <br />January 9, 1985 <br />PUD- 84 21, EVH Partnership <br />Application of EVH Partnership and the Roman Catholic Bishop of <br />Oakland for PUD zoning and development plan approval of a 262 <br />unit multi family residential development and related facilities <br />on an approximately 13 acre site located immediately southwest of <br />Bernal Avenue (extension) and the Southern Pacific right -of way. <br />The property consists of approximately 8 acres currently within <br />the City limits and approximately 5 acres currently outside of <br />the City limits for which this action shall constitute a <br />prezoning. The Planning Commission may recommend any action on <br />this matter consistent with the General Plan. A negative <br />declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommend approval of the <br />project. He reviewed the past history of previous application <br />for the property. Further the City received today a letter from <br />the San Francisco City and County Water Department asking that <br />this matter be postponed. Mr. Howell has been in contact with <br />Mr. Jensen of SFWD today and Mr. Tandy Carter is present to <br />represent SFWD. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked about the possible ingress and egress <br />to Sunol Boulevard. Mr. warnick indicated that the staff <br />addressed this matter in their report and doesn't feel that at <br />this time it is necessary and that it can be done at a later <br />time. Commissioner Lindsey asked why it is not important now to <br />have it completed. Mr. Warnick explained that the railroad <br />tracks is in the way and will probably remain for another one to <br />two years. The project does not have access to Sunol at this <br />time. The applicant is in agreement that if it appears necessary <br />at a later time, they will be willing to accomplish the <br />connection. <br />Vice Chairman Wilson asked if Bernal Avenue isn't built out how <br />the connection would be made. Mr. Warnick stated that the new <br />street will be built up passed the Police Department. Access <br />would now be through New Bernal Avenue. Commissioner Innes asked <br />5 <br />
