Section 3. No Discrimination <br /> <br />There shall be no discrimination because of race, creed, <br />color, ancestry, national orig. in, sex, age or legitimate <br />employee organization activities aganist any employee or <br />applicant for employment by the Union or by the City or <br />by anyone employed by the City; and to the extent pro- <br />hibited by applicable state and federal law, there shall <br />be no discrimination because of age. <br /> <br />Section 4. Union Representatives <br /> <br />City employees who are official representatives of the <br />Union shall be given reasonable time off with pay to attend <br />meetings with management representatives, or to be present <br />at hearings where matters within the scopeof represen- <br />tation are being considered. The use of official time <br />for this purpose shall be reasonable and shall not inter- <br />fere with the performance of City services as determined <br />by the City. Such employee representatives shall submit <br />written requests for excused absences to the Fire Chief, <br />with an information copy to the Personnel Officer, at <br />least two (2) calendar days prior to the scheduled meeting <br />whenever possible. No more than two (2) employees shall <br />be excused for such purposes. The Union shall submit a <br />list of the officers of the Union to the City Manager <br />and notify the City Manager in Writing at such time there <br />are any changes in such Union officers. <br /> <br />Section 5. Salaries <br /> <br />5.1 <br /> <br />Rates of Pay <br /> <br />The salary ranges for all employees in the Fire Employees <br />Union as set forth below represent, for each classification, <br />the standard rate of pay for full-time employment and <br />represent the total compensation due employees, except for <br />overtime compensation and other benefits specifically <br />provided by the City. Effective July 1, 1984, the salary <br />range of each classification shall provide monthly salary <br />ranges as follows: <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
