When I purchased my building at 1228 Quarry Lane in February 2006, and began teaching piano there, it was only me and a few students. Fortunately even with this bad economy I have grown successfully over the months. I now contract with eight teachers and have five rooms dedicated to teaching music of all types. Each teacher has a different schedule and works for from three to five hours only, and then only one or two days a week. We can only accommodate five teachers in the five rooms even if all are here at once which they never are. These teachers are one teacher for one student teaching piano, voice, or violin. Our work day begins at about 4 p.m. as our students are children who attend school daily. On Saturday and Sunday we may begin earlier however the industrial area is deserted on the weekends and again we have no problem with parking. Our hours are up to 9 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. Our parking lot has eighteen marked, off street parking spots as well as allowed parking on the street on both sides of the roadway. To date we have had no problem at all with parking as we are almost the only business open on the entire street after 4:30 p. m. week days. Saturday and Sunday days are not a problem either in this industrial area. To mitigate the noise we have sound proofed the walls prior to moving in and no sounds at all can be heard more than a few feet from the windows only. As we are in an industrial area this is never a problem. We have also gone to each of our neighbors and asked them if they noticed any sounds. All said they do not hear anything. Our closest neighbor is a cabinet shop and a roofing company (both closed after 4:00 p.m.). If you have any questions or concerns please call me at 415-203-3453 Rimma Radayeva
