a. Install electrical conduit and pull string from the roof/attic areas to the
building's main electrical panels;
b. Engineer the roof trusses to handle an additional load as determined by a
structural engineer to accommodate the additional weight of a prototypical
photovoltaic system beyond that anticipated for roofing;
c. Provide an area near the electrical panel for the "inverter" required to convert
the direct current output from the photovoltaic panels to alternating current;
and
d. Install a bi-directional electrical meter.
These measures shall be shown on the building permit plan set submitted to the
Director of Community Development for review and approval before issuance of the
building permit. The project developer shall provide the future homeowners the
necessary information delineating the means by which photovoltaic panels can be
applied to the roofs of the structures covered by this approval. This information shall be
submitted to the Director of Community Development for review and approval prior to
the occupancy of the unit.
{end}
13
