Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSI') <br />Fhc City of Pleasanton was not identified by t[UD as being eligible for a directly <br />allocation of NSP funds through the Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HH;RA) of <br />2008. NSP funds are intended to address the problem of already foreclosed properties on <br />a targeted needs basis. Funds may be used to finance, purchase, rehabilitate, demolish, <br />and redevelop foreclosed properties for housing opportunities. 'fhc program must benefit <br />individuals or households whose income does not exceed 120% of median income as <br />defined by HUD. <br />FY 2009 Amount: (no direct allocation to Pleasanton is anticipated) <br />Housing Opportunities for Persons with A[DS (1IOPWA) <br />These fiords, which arc awarded annually on an entitlement and competitive basis, can be <br />used for a variety of housing and service activities for persons with AIDS. "Che City does <br />not anticipate applying directly for I[OPWA funds for FY 2009. <br />FY 2009 Amount (no direct allocation to Pleasanton is anticipated) <br />HUU 202/HUD 811 Program Funds <br />fhesc program funds are awarded on a competitive basis specifically for the development <br />of affordable for seniors (202) or for the disabled (81 I). 1'he City is currently working on <br />the potential redevelopment of two adjacent, aging senior complexes on Kottinger Drive, <br />with the possibility of redeveloping the two sites in a larger new complex for seniors. [f <br />this project progresses, the City will likely support an application for 202 funding. <br />FY 2009 Amount ("f[3A) <br />HUD Section 8 Rental Assistance Program <br />The Ilousing Authority of Alameda County ([IACA) will continue to administer Federal <br />Section 8 housing choice vouchers to eligible Pleasanton residents. <br />FY 2009 Amount: $2,000,000 (estimate based on current number of voucher holders) <br />Lead Abatement <br />Alameda County has received grants from [ [UD and the Centers for Disease Control <br />(CDC) to further lead abatement efforts. <br />FY 2009 Amount: (no direct allocation to Pleasanton is anticipated) <br />Action Plan - N'Y09 <br />Ci[y of Pleasanton <br />Page J <br />
