OTHER PROGRAMS <br />The Urban County will implement its housing and community development goals through funds <br />generated from federal, state and local sources as well as pubic and private sources. Additional <br />sources not previously mentioned inchlde in-lieu funds, low income housing tax credits, and <br />foundations. <br />CIT[7F.N PARTICIPATION <br />The City maintains an on-going data base of nonprofit agencies and other parties who have <br />expressed an interest in the CDBG program. 'Che City held two joint application workshops in <br />collaboration with the cities of Livermore and Dublin in December 2008. Notices regarding the <br />workshops were mailed directly to agencies and persons in the aforementioned data base, and <br />notices were also published in the tour local newspapers and on city web sites prior to the <br />workshops. At the workshops (which had identical agendas and lormats), staff from each city <br />discussed all aspects of the CDBG program and disbursed application packets along with city- <br />spccitic policy and procedures manuals. ["fhe workshops were also used to provide information <br />and applications on the City of Plcasantodstocally-funded "City Grant" program.) <br />CDBG applicants attended meetings before either Pleasanton [ [uman Services Commission <br />(March 4, 2009) or the Pleasanton Housing Commission (March 19, 2009) for funding <br />consideration. The Commissions considered the applications and formulated funding <br />recommendations for consideration by the Pleasanton City Council. 'Ihe funding <br />recommendations were approved by the Council in a public hearing on April 7, 2009, and the <br />Council approved the Action Plan at its meeting of April 21, 2009. All meetings were noticed in <br />the Vallcy'Cimes, a newspaper of general circulation, as well as in the Pleasanton Weekly, a local <br />paper that is delivered to all Pleasanton residents. Alameda County also published notices <br />regarding the overall Action Plan (which includes all entitlement cities and the urban county) in <br />ANG newspapers throughout the County. Copies of the draft Action Plan were provided to the <br />main Library and City Hall in Pleasanton for public review.
