3 <br />THE CITY OF <br />-~• ,t ~° ~• ='~ "" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j~L£~S~NTON® <br />April 21, 2009 <br />Assistant City Manager <br />TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR <br />THE USE OF FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />(CDBG) AND RECOVERY (CDBG-R) FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009 <br />(2009-10) <br />SUMMARY <br />Pleasanton will receive an estimated $250,000 in CDBG funds for FY 2009 (2009/10). <br />In addition, the City will receive $74,608 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment <br />Act (ARRA) of 2009. At the meeting of April 7, the Council approved the allocation of <br />CDBG funding for FY 2009, including a plan for allocating any surplus CDBG funds. <br />This report summarizes the Annual Action Plan that must be submitted to HUD in order <br />for the City to receive its FY 2009 allocation of CDBG funds. The report makes a <br />recommendation to approve the Action Plan. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2009 (2009-10) and direct staff to <br />submit to HUD by the applicable deadlines. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The approval of the annual Action Plan will not have a direct fiscal impact on the City. <br />As noted earlier, the City will receive an estimated $250,000 in CDBG funds for <br />FY 2009 (2009/10). <br />
