Newsracks placed near a street curb shall be <br />placed with their long axis parallel to such curb. When a <br /> <br />sidewalk is contiguous to a curb, newsracks shall be placed <br />on the side of the sidewalk away from the curb so that the <br />back edge of the newsrack is no further than six (6) inches <br />from the edge of the sidewalk. When a sidewalk is separated <br />from a street by a planter strip, newsracks may be placed on <br />either side of the sidewalk, but not immediately adjacent to <br />the curb. No newsrack shall be placed or maintaineG on a <br />sidewalk opposite a news stand or another newsrack. <br /> <br /> C. No newsrack shall be placed or maintained: <br /> <br /> (1) ~qithin three (3) feet of any marked <br />crosswalk; <br /> <br /> (2) Within the area adjacent to the curb <br /> <br />return of any intersection with u~marked crosswalks; <br /> <br /> (3) Within three (3) feet of any unmarked <br />crosswalk at a "T" intersection; <br /> <br /> (4) ~i~hin five (5) feet of any fire hydrant, <br /> <br />fire call box, police call box, or other emergency facility; <br /> (5) ~Jithin three (3) feet of any driveway; <br /> <br /> (6) In front of, or so situated as to impede <br />access to any bus bench or shelter. <br /> <br /> (7) ~ithin three (3) feet of any curb desig- <br />nated as a no parki~g or stopping zone (measured parallel to <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
