ATTACHMENT 2
QUALIFICATIONS, RECREATION (NORTHERN CALIFORNIA)
Aquatic Design Group (ADG) is a full service aquatic architecture and engineering firm. The focus of
our services is "water feature" architecture and engineering. We specialize in turning ideas into
reality and transforming concepts into completed, fully detailed contract documents. Design
projects include community pools, competition pools, resort hotel pools and spas, fountains and a
variety of natural water elements such as lakes, streams, waterfalls and marine life support systems.
ADG has also been extremely active within the water park industry. Wave pools, continuous rivers,
activity pools, body flumes, inner tube flumes and speed slides represent a few of the design
challenges successfully undertaken by the firm.
The Principals of ADG have been involved in the aquatic industry for over 24 years, and have been
responsible for the design and processing of over 2,500 projects. When compared with generalist
A&E firms that may produce only a dozen or so aquatic facility projects within their lifetime, ADG is
uniquely qualified in our industry.
Because of our experience and knowledge base, principals and associates within the firm are looked
to as a resource within our industry. Within the past calendar year, articles authored by members
of our staff have been published in Athletic Business magazine, Aquatics International magazine, and the
Journal on Active Aging. Our expertise has also been called on for presenting educational sessions at
the following industry conferences: the Athletic Business Exposition; the National Intramural
Recreational Sports Association Trade Show; the College Swim Coaches Association of America
Annual Conference; the National Aquatic Conference and Exposition; the World Aquatic Health
Conference; the Arizona Parks and Recreation Annual Conference; the Oregon Parks and
Recreation Association Annual Conference; the Washington Parks and Recreation Annual
Conference; the National Parks and Recreation Association Annual Convention; and the NRPA
Annual Aquatics Conference.
Staff members of ADG have experience within the aquatic industry both in design and construction.
This enables us to properly detail a project in a way that design professionals and contractors can
understand. All members of the ADG design team have collaborated previously on dozens of
projects. The same dedicated team remains with the project from concept to completion. Our well
documented track record provides testimony to decades of successfully addressing project budgets
and timely completion of services.
Aquatic Design Group is committed to providing superior design and engineering services to its'
Clients. Decisions are always made with the Client's best interest as the determining factor. Our
demonstrated leadership in energy conservation and sustainable design is unequaled. Aquatic Design
Group was one of the first designers of commercial swimming pools to utilize smart pump controls
for the recirculation pumps. Smart pump controls are the next step up from a variable frequency
drive system. Whether we use solar electric panels, solar heating systems, con-generation systems,
or geo thermal systems our designs feature the bet methods for water conservation, energy savings
and sustainable design. Our best advertising is our long list of satisfied Clients, who over the years
AQUATIC DESIGN GROUP
