What services or programs do you wish you, as a youth, had that you <br />do not have in relation to Healthy Youth and Families? <br />• Downtown open later <br />• Walk in clinic <br />• Open gym on weekends <br />• Make more accessible <br />• Advertise -get word out (NC schools) <br />• Emails, TV, Internet, signs downtown <br />• Mother/daughter health classes <br />• Continue health ed beyond 9th grade <br />• Teen center linked with clinic and workout groups <br />• Stay fit; courts open for basketball, skating rink <br />• Get a teen doctor more access only for teens <br />• Get word out <br />• Balance confidentiality with excused absence <br />2. What services or programs do you wish you, as a youth, had that you <br />do not have in relation to Intergenerational Relationships? <br />• Family oriented events <br />• Open/explore opportunities <br />• To bring big brother/big sister program to Pleasanton <br />• Database listing all opportunities seniors need <br />• i.e. college students mentor high school at summertime <br />• focus on closer generations i.e. youth in government <br />• improve Ptown 411 -add community service information <br />• tutor program/website listings -students can volunteer to help others save <br />with cost of tutoring <br />• offer flexibility for the service learning 20 hours where students can <br />volunteer throughout year to tutor middle schools etc. <br />• needs a data base <br />• improve communication/sharing between service learning opportunities <br />(Village vs Amador) <br />3. Looking forward five years from now what do you think will still be <br />important for youth? <br />• Sports <br />• community service <br />• have an open safe place for teens "teen club" to hang out <br />• communication of programs/opportunities <br />• drunk driving -help reduce <br />continue health education beyond 9th grade <br />• balance education/programming related to youth health education <br />• improve ways to reach those at risk <br />
