CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 84-339 <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF ST. JOHN STREET AND HARRISON STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION, PROJECT NO. 84-2, AND APPROVAL OF <br />FINAL PROGRESS PAYMENT TO WHALEN CONSTRUCTION <br />COMPANY, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />work by Whalen Construction Company, Inc. on the <br />St. John Street and Harrison Street reconstruction, <br />Project No. 84-2, has been satisfactorily completed; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate to authorize the final progress <br /> payment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The work on the St. John Street and Harrison Street <br /> reconstruction is hereby accepted. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2: The Director of Finance is instructed to prepare <br /> a warrant in the amount of $71,260.55 in favor of <br /> Whalen Construction Company, Inc. in satisfaction <br /> of the final progress payment for the above- <br /> accepted work on Project No. 84-2. Ten Dercent <br /> (10%) of the total contract or $13,780.1B will be <br /> retained until thirty (30) days after filing of <br /> the Notice of Completion. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Attorney is directed to file a Notice <br /> of Completion with the Alameda County Recorder. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective innnediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JULY 10, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~P~ <br /> KENNETH R. ~ERCER, ~AYOR <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> MacDonald, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
