Councilmember Sullivan agreed, stating that it is not fair to continually put the community, City <br />Council, or Planning Commission in this position while they attempt to decipher State <br />regulations. <br />Councilmember McGovern asked for input on whether or not the amicus brief suggested by Ms. <br />Ayala should be filed and Councilmember Sullivan asked how that process should proceed. <br />Mr. Roush explained that he could provide a memo regarding the suitability of an amicus brief; <br />if, however, the Council chooses to provide direction with respect to preparation and submission <br />of a brief, a vote officially placing it on the agenda would be mare appropriate. <br />Mayor Hosterman said that she would prefer to review a short memo first so that she has an <br />opportunity to review the scope and nature of a potential brief. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS: None <br />ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 p.m <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Karen Diaz <br />City Clerk <br />City Council Minutes Page 19 of 19 February 17, 2009 <br />
