Weed Abatement Standards /~vermore-Pleasan[mr Fire Department GENERAL NOTES: Page 2 Combustible storage such as usable lumber, cord wood, hay or straw shall be neatly stacked and all combustible growth shall be removed from within forty feet (40') of the stored material. Storage of agricultural products such as hay, straw, etc. shall be limited to stacks of L00 tons each with a separation of at leas[ twenty feet (20') between stacks. No stack oC agricultural products shall be stored closer to a building than a distance equal to at least the height of the stack, but in no case less than twenty feel (20'). Combustible trash, rubbish or litter shall be removed from the property. Property abated by the owner or the owners agent will be inspected by the Fire Department when completed to assure compliance with City standards. RECOMMENllA"PION: If possible, property should he disced prior to Muy Ist in order to take advantage of the moisture that accumulates in the soil during the winter. The increased moisture content will allow the disc to turn over the mil more easily and efficiently on the first pass, thus requiring fewer pusses and providing u more thorough job, which could result in a reduction in abatement cocks.
