BACKGROUND
Fabian Court provides access
from Stoneridge Mall Road to
four office buildings and the
Stoneridge Apartments. Despite
existing ingress and egress for
these properties, no businesses
or residences have Fabian Court
mailing addresses.
Fabian Court is not on the City's
Heritage Street Name list (a list
that identifies and protects
historically significant street
names in Pleasanton).
DISCUSSION
On December 9, 2008, staff received a request from Workday Inc. to change the name
of Fabian Court to Workday Way (see Attachment 1).
Street name change requests are evaluated on a case by case basis. Prior to
recommending street name changes, staff investigates any potential concerns by the
Police and Fire Departments and potential impacts to affected businesses and property
owners. None of the adjoining businesses or residences have Fabian Court mailing
addresses. Staff did not find any impacts to these locations. Neither the Police nor Fire
Departments have any public safety concerns about the proposed name change.
On February 18, 2009, staff mailed notices to adjacent businesses and property owners
requesting comments on the proposed name change (see Attachment 2). Staff did not
receive any comments on the proposed name change.
r
A
Stonendge
tvlall
\` Fap~:~n Ct
~~
r
~~
,~ ~
~
5 ~
A
~n~ ~ca4ero a
Workday Inc. has agreed to pay for all costs associated with the street name change.
Submitted by:
/ -
Brian Dolan
Director of
Community Development
Fiscal Review:
David P.
