CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING <br />STRATEGIC PLAN <br /> <br />THE 15 YEAR SENIOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Senior Program Advisory Committee was created in 1993, after <br /> completion of the Senior Center, to serve as an advisory body to the Human <br /> Services Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Center serves as an umbrella facility for over twenty agencies that <br /> implement weekly, monthly, and quarte~y services and programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Program Advisory Committee determined that a Senior Strategic Plan <br /> needed to be developed to assist staff in projecting program growth and needs over <br /> the next fifteen years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 6, 1999, the Human Services Commission reviewed and <br /> recommended approval of the proposed fifteen year Senior Strategic Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 18, 2000, the City Council received a staff report from the <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services regarding the long-range plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />RESOLVES <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the Senior Strategic Plan, <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
