Section 6. Overtime <br /> <br />Employees who are required to work after completion of their <br />regular work day shall be entitled to overtime compensation <br />for all hours so worked; provided, however, that the overtime <br />rate shall be computed at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the <br />emp!oyee's regular rate of pay in thirty (30) minute increments <br />as follows: first fifteen (15) minutes, no pay; sixteen (16) <br />through forty-five (45) minutes, one-half (1/2) hour's pay at <br />the overtime rate; forty-six minutes through one (1) hour and <br />fifteen (15) minutes, one (1) hour's pay at the overtime rate, <br />etc. <br /> <br />If an employee who has completed his/her regular work day is <br />called back to work (from home), he/she shall upon reporting <br />within a reasonable time after notification, be compensated <br />for all work performed outside of his/her regular duty shift <br />at the overtime'rate, commencing with the time of notification, <br />but in no event shall he/she receive less than two (2) hours <br />of overtime compensation for each such call back. <br /> <br />Employees may be compensated for overtime worked either by <br />monetary payment or by compensatory time off, at the option <br />of the employee. Compensatory time shall accrue at the rate <br />of one and one-half times the overtime hours worked. Com- <br />pensatory time off which accrues in excess of fifty-six (56) <br />hours must be liquidated by monetary payment. All monetary <br />payments for overtime must be paid not later than the next <br />bi-weekly payroll following the pay period in which the over- <br />time was worked. Compensatory time off may be taken in a <br />minimum of one (!) hour increments. Utilization of compen- <br />satory time off shall be by mutual agreement bet~een the <br />Police Chief and the employee. <br /> <br />Section 7. Court Time <br /> <br />7.1 Local <br /> <br />!EmD!ovces ~,zho are oralarced to report to ~zork during their off- <br />duty hours for the purpose of appearing in court ~ithin the <br />Livennore-Pleasanton Judicial District and x,;ho do so at the <br />specified time shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay <br />at time and one-half (1-1/2). This provision does not apply <br />to instances where employees are ordered to report to ~ork <br />less than four (4) hours prior to their regular starting time <br />or are held over less than four (4) hours after their regular <br />quitting time for the purpose of appearing in court. <br /> <br />-8- <br /> <br /> <br />
