CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-323 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON TO UPDATE THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE <br />GENERAL PLAN AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 65588(a) OF <br />THE GOVERNMENT CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of June 26, 1984 <br />received an application from the City of Pleasanton <br />for an update to the Housing Element of the General <br />Plan as required by Section 65588(a) of the Govern- <br />ment Code, which consists of an examination of <br />current housing needs, updated residential site <br />inventory, and a housing program evaluation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating <br />no significant adverse effects on the environment, <br />a negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br />June 26, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council received the Planning Commission' <br />tion for approval of the update; and <br /> <br />s recommenda- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on June 26, <br />1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that this update to the <br />Housing Element is consistent with the General <br />Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves the update to the Housing Element of <br />the General Plan, as required by Section 65588(a) <br />of the Government Code, as contained in the document <br />entitled Housing Element Update of the Pleasanton <br />General Plan, dated June 1984, on file in the Department <br />of Planning and Cor~Lunity Development of the City of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 26, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
