CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-320 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION'APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR A CHANGE OF THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION OF <br />APPROXIMATELY 17 ACRES AT 5335 SUNOL BOULEVARD AND <br />APPROXIMATELY 20.5 ACRES OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY WEST <br />OF THE CORPORATION YARD IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE SPRR <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM "PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL" AND <br />"GENERAL AND LIMITED INDUSTRIAL" TO "PUBLIC AND <br />INSTITUTIONAL", PARKS AND RECREATION", AND "HIGH <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" DISTRICTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of June 26, 1984, the City Council <br />received a proposed mitigated negative declaration <br />for a change of the General Plan designation of <br />approximately 17 acres at 5335 Sunol Boulevard (the <br />City Corporation Yard) and approximately 20.5 acres of <br />City-owned property west of the Corporation Yard and <br />immediately west of the SPRR right-of-way from "Public <br />and Institutional" and "General and Limited Industrial" <br />to the "Public and Institutional, Parks and Recreation" <br />and "High Density Residential" Districts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated June 6, 1984 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br />time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan designation change; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of mitigated <br />negative declarations and environmental imDact <br />reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that based upon the review <br />of the Initial Study, and the testimony and docu- <br />mentary evidence presented at the public hearing <br />that there may be significant impacts on the <br />environment, but that conditions listed in Section <br />1 below as mitigations render these potential <br />impacts insignificant; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
