EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> State of California <br />The Resources Agency <br />Department of Water Resources <br /> <br />CONTRACT STANDARD CONDITIONS <br /> <br />ARTICLE A-1. DEFINITIONS <br /> <br /> Whenever in this Contract the following terms are used, their meanings <br />shall be as follows unless the context clearly requires otherwise: <br /> <br /> PROJECT. All work to conduct a systemwide water audit and to de- <br />tect, locate, and repair leaks. <br /> <br />PROGRAM MANAGER is the State Project Mmager. <br /> <br /> GRANTEE. The public agency (city, county, district or other politi- <br />cal subdivision of the State~ with which this Contract is binding. <br /> <br /> SYSTEM. All facilities under control of the Grantee for the provi- <br />sion of piped water to the public for human consumption which may include any <br />collection, treatment, storage, or distribution facilities. <br /> <br /> CONTRACT COMMITMENT. The maximum sum of money which the State <br />agrees to provide to the'7~tee under this Contract.. <br /> <br /> ELIGIBLE PROJECT COSTS. Except as otherwise provided, reasonable <br />and necessary Project Costs actually incurred by the Grantee after the effec- <br />tive date of the Contract, in performing the Project which are otherwise eligi- <br />ble for State assistance pursuant to State laws, rules, regulations, guidelines <br />and this Contract. Eligible Project Costs do not include leak repair costs. <br />Necessary costs may include, but are not limited to: <br /> <br />(1) Costs of salaries and benefits for leak detection survey crew and <br /> their direct supervision as required by this Contract. <br /> <br />(2) Professional and consultant services. <br /> <br />(3) Materials acquired, consumed or expanded specifically for the Pro- <br /> ject. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />Water audit costs required by this Contract (wages and direct bene- <br />fits, meter testing equipment, testing of meters and the calibration <br />of system controls). <br /> <br />Cost of transportation to and attendance at mandatory seminars. <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />Leak detection equipment. Leak detection equipment purchased by the <br />Grantee will become the property of the Grantee providtn~ the Grantee <br />agrees to continue leak detection as specified in Section 9 of this <br />Contract. <br /> <br />11 Contract B-550~0 <br /> <br /> <br />
