CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-308 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO McREYNOLDS PAVING, INC., FOR SLURRY SEALING ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS, PROJECT NO. 84-11 WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for slurry sealing on various City streets, Project No. 84-11; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on June 26, 1984; and WHEREAS, the bid of McReynolds Paving, Inc., in the amount of $31,120 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of McReynolds Paving, Inc. be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of McReynolds Paving, Inc., in the amount of $$31,120, for slurry sealing on various City streets, Project No. 84-11, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: An additional appropriation of $3,000 is approved to cover the anticipated contract cost and any minor contingencies. Section 3: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with McReynolds Paving, Inc. for the improvements specified above. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
