CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />, 1984, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a <br /> <br />municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and <br /> <br />GEORGE S. NOLTE AND ASSOCIATES, a corporation (hereinafter referred <br /> <br />to as "Consultant"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH : <br /> <br /> A. Consultant is qualified to provide, and experienced in <br />providing, construction inspection services and has offered its <br />services for the purposes specified in this Agreement. <br /> <br /> B. In the judgment of the City, it is necessary and advisable <br />to employ the services of Consultant for the purpose of special <br />inspection/consultation of structural portions of the Railroad Grade <br />Separations with the Western Pacific Railroad Company, Project No.' <br />84-7. <br /> <br /> C. The City has required the project contractor to assume <br />sole and complete responsibility for job site conditions during <br />the course of construction of the project, including safety of all <br />persons and property at all times on the job site. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, agree- <br />ments and conditions contained herein, City and Consultant agree as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Consultant's Services. Consultant shall diligently perform <br />the services and furnish the materials, reports, maps, and so forth <br />as hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br />Consultant shall perform all work described in <br />the letter dated May 24, 1984 from Paul R. Meier <br />to Robert Warnick and the attachment thereto, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" <br />and incorporated herein by this reference. Con- <br />sultant shall provide inspection services upon <br />24 hours notice and shall be available for <br />consultation with City's staff on an as-needed <br />basis. <br /> <br />Consultant shall meet with the inspection and <br />technical staff of the City, and other pertinent <br />agencies, as necessary to complete the scope of <br />work outlined in Section l(a) herein· <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
