CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-299 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT TO PAINT <br />DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON SIGN AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br />ORDER FOR GEM PAINTING AND DECORATING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at the request of the Pleasanton Downtown Association, <br />bids were obtained for repainting the Pleasanton <br />sign and sign structure on Main Street; and <br /> <br />the low bid in the amount of $2,500 was received <br />from Gem Painting and Decorating; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Pleasanton Downtown Association plans to have <br />a fund raiser and to donate the proceeds to the <br />arch painting project to help defray the costs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves an appropriation of $2,500 from the <br />general fund and authorizes the issuance of a <br />purchase order to Gem Painting and Decorating for <br />repainting the Pleasanton sign and sign structure <br />on Main Street. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> Council wishes to express its appreciation to <br />the Downtown Association for calling this matter <br />to its attention and gratefully accepts their <br />donation. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective inunediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 12, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: None ~E~R <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br />Mayor Mercer <br />None <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />pe er f Mac ona , 'City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
