CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-298 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF TAUBMAN <br />COMPANY, WICKLIFF AND COMPANY AND DOUBLETREE, <br />INC. FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL OF A SIX STORY, <br />174-ROOM HOTEL AND RELATED FACILITIES ON AN <br />APPROXIMATELY FOUR ACRE SITE LOCATED ADJACENT AND <br />TO THE WEST OF 6000 STONERIDGE MALL ROAD (Z-84-129) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Taubman Company, Wickliff and Company and Doubletree, <br />Inc. have applied for design approval for a six story, <br />174-room hotel and related facilities on an approxi- <br />mately four acre site located adjacent and to the <br />west of 6000 Stoneridge Mall Road; and <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 9, 1984, the Design Review Board <br />approved this application, but because of the size of <br />the proposed building and the nature of the use, the <br />developers requested that this matter be reviewed by <br />the Council even though they agree with all aspects <br />of the action taken by the Design Review Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />based on the Initial Environmental Study, a mitigated <br />negative declaration was adopted by Council on June 12, <br />1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on June 12, 1984 <br />and testimony taken concerning the proposed project <br />including its design, cumulative impact and consistency <br />with the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has found that the project is consistent <br /> with the City's General Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves the application of Taubman Company, Wickliff <br />and Company and Doubletree, Inc. for design review approval <br />of a six story, 174-room hotel and related facilities on <br />an approximately four acre site located adjacent and <br />to the west of 6000 Stoneridge Mall Road, subject to the <br />conditions listed in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 12, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
