CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-285 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF <br />OAKLAND AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a certain portion of Oakland Avenue has become un- <br />necessary for present or prospective public street <br />use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is necessary for the City of Pleasanton to <br />vacate that portion of land Dursuant to the requirements <br />of Section 8320 et seq. of the Streets and Highways <br />Code of California; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Section 8320 et seq. of the Streets <br />and Highways Code of California, the City Council <br />hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion <br />of Oakland Avenue unnecessary for present or <br />prospective public use, said portion being a sixty <br />(60) foot wide strip running from Mohr Avenue <br />north approximately 643.98 feet, but retaining a <br />thirty foot public service easement over the <br />westerly half of said parcel, more particularly <br />described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto. <br /> <br />Section 2: A public hearing shall be held on July 10, 1984, <br /> at 8:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 200 <br /> Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, at <br /> which time public testimony will be taken with <br /> regard to the City's intention to vacate the <br /> portion of roadway described above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 12, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None ~~CE'~ <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None, <br /> TTEST: <br />~ ~C~e /# N ME <br /> W~ ker, Cit~ ~'' ~ <br /> r~l <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> ~ y torney <br /> <br /> <br />
