CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-259 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF BLEACHERS FOR <br />SOFTBALL COMPLEX, PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION <br />PARK, AND AMENDING 1983-84 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />BUDGET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the new Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park <br />Softball Complex is now being used on a daily <br />basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />future plans include installing an extensive <br />bleacher system, however, funding is not budgeted <br />until FY 1985-86; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Recreation and Human Resources <br />presented a report to the City Council (SR 84:284) <br />indicating that there is a need for some spectator <br />seating now and presenting several alternatives; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 16, 1984, the Park and <br />Recreation Commission passed a motion recommending <br />purchase of eight aluminum bleachers, amending the <br />1983-84 Capital Improvement Program to include <br />funds for the bleachers and reducing the Softball <br />Complex Project budgeted for FY 1985-86 by a <br />commensurate amount; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves the purchase of eight aluminum bleachers <br />at approximately $800.00 each, for a total cost of <br />$6,400.00. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> Approves the amendment to the 1983-84 Capital <br />Improvement Budget to include funding for the <br />bleachers and reducing the amount budgeted for the <br />Softball Complex project for FY 1985-86 by a <br />commensurate amount. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 22, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
