CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-256 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF GUS ENTERPRISES <br />AND PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE FOR DESIGN APPROVAL FOR <br />A 216 ROOM SHERATON HOTEL/RESTAURANT COMPLEX ON <br />APPROXIMATELY TEN ACRES AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF <br />HOPYARD ROAD AND GIBRALTAR DRIVE (PUD-81-30-11D) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Gus Enterprises and Prudential Insurance Company have <br />applied for design approval for a 216 room Sheraton <br />Hotel/Restaurant complex consisting of approximately <br />140,000 sq. ft. of building area and related facilities <br />on an approximately ten acre site at the northeast <br />corner of Hopyard Road and Gibraltar Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Environmental Impact ReDort was prepared for <br />the development plan of the subject site (PUD-81-30) <br />including the typical architectural and site designs <br />for individual lots, and there are no changed circum- <br />stances or new information requiring additional <br />environmental review; therefore, this application does <br />not constitute a new project under CEQA and no new <br />environmental documents accompany this application; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a public hearing was held on May 22, 1984 and testimony <br />taken concerning the Droposed project including its <br />design, cumulative impact, consistency with PUD-81-30 <br />and the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has found that the project is <br />consistent with PUD-81-30 as well as the City's <br />General Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Approves the application of Gus Enterprises and <br />Prudential Insurance for design approval of a 216 room <br />Sheraton Hotel/Restaurant complex consisting of approx- <br />imately 140,000 sq. ft. of building area and related <br />facilities on an approximately ten acre site at the north- <br />east corner of Hopyard Road and Gibraltar Drive, subject <br />to the conditions listed in Exhibit A, attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
