CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-256 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF GUS ENTERPRISES AND PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE FOR DESIGN APPROVAL FOR A 216 ROOM SHERATON HOTEL/RESTAURANT COMPLEX ON APPROXIMATELY TEN ACRES AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF HOPYARD ROAD AND GIBRALTAR DRIVE (PUD-81-30-11D) WHEREAS, Gus Enterprises and Prudential Insurance Company have applied for design approval for a 216 room Sheraton Hotel/Restaurant complex consisting of approximately 140,000 sq. ft. of building area and related facilities on an approximately ten acre site at the northeast corner of Hopyard Road and Gibraltar Drive; and WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact ReDort was prepared for the development plan of the subject site (PUD-81-30) including the typical architectural and site designs for individual lots, and there are no changed circum- stances or new information requiring additional environmental review; therefore, this application does not constitute a new project under CEQA and no new environmental documents accompany this application; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 22, 1984 and testimony taken concerning the Droposed project including its design, cumulative impact, consistency with PUD-81-30 and the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has found that the project is consistent with PUD-81-30 as well as the City's General Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the application of Gus Enterprises and Prudential Insurance for design approval of a 216 room Sheraton Hotel/Restaurant complex consisting of approx- imately 140,000 sq. ft. of building area and related facilities on an approximately ten acre site at the north- east corner of Hopyard Road and Gibraltar Drive, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
