CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-243 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT AND ENDORSEMENT OF PROPOSI- <br />TION 18, THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND RECREATIONAL <br />FACILITIES ACT OF 1984 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Proposition 18, the California Park and Recreational <br />Facilities Act of 1984, will place before the voters <br />of the State of California a measure to provide <br />financing of a program of acquiring, developing and <br />restoring real property for state and local parks, <br />waterfront, recreational and historical resource <br />preservation purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, enhancement of parks, conservation of natural resources <br /> and historical preservation have a direct economic <br /> benefit to our comm nity, as well as the state as a <br /> 'o h <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby recommends the support, <br /> endorsement and encouragement of Proposition 18, the <br /> California Park and iRecreation Facilities Act of 1984, <br /> a Bond Act to finance the acquisition, development, <br /> rehabilitation and restoration of state and local <br /> parks, coastal resources, historical preservation <br /> and wildlife management areas. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 22i, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> y Doris George~ Deputy City Cilerk <br /> <br />P~er~.'MacDonald, City ~t~orhey <br /> <br /> <br />
