CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-240 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />OVERTIME <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at the mid-year budget review, it appeared the <br />Fire Department would be within the appropriation <br />or only slightly over its allocation for overtime; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />based on several contributing factors, a higher <br />than expected amount of overtime has been needed <br />and it is expected, based on last year's experience <br />for May and June, that more hours will be necessitated; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is necessary at this time to amend the budget <br />for the increased appropriation for overtime; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: To maintain minimum staffing levels and to <br /> provide coverage for the Good Times Parade and the <br /> County Fair, Council authorizes an overtime amendment <br /> to the Fire Department in the amount of $32,000. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 22, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> R.
