CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-237 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ROBERT <br />QUATMAN, INC., FOR OUTFIELD FENCING AND WARNING <br />TRACK AT SPORTS PARK SOFTBALL COMPLEX, PROJECT 84-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for <br />outfield fencing and warning track at the Sports <br />Park Softball Complex, Project No. 84-6; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 22, <br />1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., in the amount of <br />$60,460.60 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br />bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Robert Quatman, Inco be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> The bid of Robert Quatman, Inc., in the amount <br />of $60,460.60, for outfield fencing and warning track <br />at the Sports Park Softball Complex, Project No. 84-6, <br />is hereby accepted by the City Council as the <br />lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br />with Robert Quatman, Inc. for the improvements <br />specified above, including Alternate 2A, sliding gates. <br /> <br />Section 3: Appropriates an additional $13,500.00 for this <br /> project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 22, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br />Mayor Mercer <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
