CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-216 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO EUGENE G. ALVES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., FOR IMPROVEMENTS OF WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD AND FOOTHILL ROAD WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for improvements of West Las Positas Boulevard and Foothill Road; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 8, 1984; and WHEREAS, the bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inco, in the amount of $46,647.50 was determined to be the lowest resDonsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $46,647.50, for improvements of West Las Positas Boulevard and Foothill Road, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. for the improvements specified above. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
