CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-211 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 (ESTAB- <br />LISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) BY <br />AMENDING SECTION 6 (NO PARKING ZONES) BY ADDING <br />SUBSECTION 6v-7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on April 12, 1976, the City Council adopted Resolution <br />No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic <br />Regulations for City Streets); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has from time to time amended <br />Resolution No. 76-79; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 8, 1984, the City Council <br />received and discussed a report dated May 8, 1984 <br />from the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br />related to the parking problem on Valley Avenue <br />near the Valley Plaza Apartment complex; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it was determined to be necessary to amend Resolution <br />No. 76-79 to add subsection 6v-7 to prohibit parking <br />on Valley Avenue; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing <br />Traffic Regulations for City Streets) is hereby <br />amended by adding subsection 6v-7 as follows: <br /> <br />"6v-7 <br /> <br />Valley Avenue, on both sides of Valley Avenue <br />from the existing residential subdivisions <br />easterly to Santa Rita Road." <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 8, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr and Wood <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor erce~/~~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />TTEST: <br /> <br /> ~alker, Ci r ~ <br /> is George, Deputy City Clerk <br />A~ROVE~ AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
