CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-198 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LEASE/PURCHASE OF HEWLETT <br />PACKARD COMPUTER SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />approximately a year ago, Council approved the <br />implementation of a plan to computerize the city <br />operations over a five year period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after an extensive review by the computer selection <br />committee, Hewlett Packard was selected as the <br />company with the best hardware and software for <br />the city operations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Finance presented her report <br />(SR 84:225) dated April 19, 1984 reviewing in <br />detail the equipment and cost of the computer <br />program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> Authorizes the lease purchase of both hardware <br />and software from Hewlett Packard for an annual <br />cost of $27,643.17 for the next five years commencing <br />on August 1, 1984, a copy of the agreement is attached <br />as Exhibit "A". <br /> This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 24, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br /> y Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> ) i i" ' i ..,'~" :/'j,,/ <br /> ~ . <br />P er D.
