Las Positas
Pleasanton, CA 94588
Dear Ms. Zheng,
I have received your program description for your proposed afterschool program located
at 5925 W. Las Positas, Pleasanton. Per the policy section of 101158 of Title 22
regulations, the following is the criteria for exemption from licensure of a school age
program:
• The program operates for less than 16 hours per week for children over 4
years and 9 months OR the program operates for more than 15 hours per
week and is no more than 12 weeks in duration for children over 4 years and 9
months. You must start a new session every 12 weeks, ref~:rred to as back-
to-back sessions, and re-enroll children in each new 12 week session.
Be informed that the exempt status of Little Ivy League School will be based on Title 22
policy and Health and Safety code Section 1596.792. Sacramento Pnllcy division and
the state Legislature itself are looking at the current guidelines to see if changes are
warranted. It is your responsibility to know and stay infonned of any changes that would
affect your facilities exempt status. This letter will not serve as a blanket exemption for
the facility. You might also want to confer with your community's planning department
or fire inspectors.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Bothwell
Licensing Program Analyst
