CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-185 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARATION THE RESULTS OF THE APRIL 10, <br />1984 SPECIAL ELECTION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a petition with 3,050 signatures was submitted to the <br /> City Clerk on December 6, lq84 to referend Resolution <br /> No. 83-501 pertaining to a text change in the Growth <br /> Management Element of the General Plan and duly <br /> certified by the City as having the required signatures <br /> to referend said resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 9, 1984 the City Council called a special election <br /> to be held on April 10, 1984 pertaining to a text change in <br /> the growth management element of the general plan and placed <br /> on the ballot the following measure known as Measure A: <br /> <br />Measure A: Shall Resolution No. 83-501 of the <br />City Council (which provides that the Pleasanton <br />General Plan permits Hacienda Business Park <br />(PUD-81-30) and the commercial/office industrial <br />projects already approved as of May 1983) be <br />affirmed? <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council contracted with the Alameda County <br /> Registrar of Voters to conduct the special election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the election of Voters having canvassed the returns of <br /> all votes cast in the special election certifies the <br /> results of the vote on Measure A to be as follows: <br /> <br />Yes 6,159 <br />No 3,962 <br />Total Votes Cast 10,264 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the results of the voting on Measure A by precinct is <br /> set forth in Attachment A. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
