CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />_RESOLUTION NO. 84-171 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS FOR APPROXIMATELY 5,800 <br />FEET OF BIKE PATH AND RELATED FACILITIES IN THE <br />AREA OF VINEYARD AVENUE AND FIRST STREET BETWEEN <br />ADAMS WAY AND STANLEY BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in connection with the Pico Avenue Extension <br />Project, plans were prepared for a bike path in <br />the area of Vineyard Avenue bounded by the cross <br />streets of Touriga Drive and Adams Way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />another bicycle path plan has been submitted to <br />the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for TDA <br />Article 3 funds in the amount of $24,133 for <br />fiscal year 1984-85, which is a continuation of <br />the Vineyard Avenue Bike Path previously apDroved; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating <br />no significant adverse effects on the environment, <br />a negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br />April 10, 1984; and <br /> <br />i-~EiEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on April 10, <br />1984 at which time the public was given an opportunity <br />to comment on this matter; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council authorizes the staff to prepare <br /> plans and specifications for an approximately <br /> 5,800 foot bike path and related facilities in the <br /> area of Vineyard Avenue and First Street between <br /> Adams Way and Stanley Boulevard. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 10, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and <br />Mayor Mercer <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
