CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-152 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO WHALEN CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. FOR HARRISON STREET AND ST. JOHN STREET RECONSTRUCTION, PROJECT NO. 84-2 WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the reconstruction of Harrison Street and St. John Street, Project No. 84-2; and I~IEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 10, 1984; and WHEREAS, the bid of Whalen Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $150,480.25 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Whalen Construction Co., Inc. be accepted; and WHEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are $150,000.00; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of Whalen Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $$150,480.25, for reconstruction of Harrison Street and St. John Street, Project No. 84-2, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Whalen Construction Co., Inc. for the improvements specified above. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
