CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-136 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING PARCEL AS SURPLUS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City owns a small parcel of land (approximately <br /> 1,081 square feet) located on the southwest corner <br /> of Peters Avenue and St. Marys Street which is a <br /> remnant of a lot purchased for Peters Avenue right <br /> of way, but not required as part of the new street~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after discussion with City staff and adjacent property <br /> owners, it has been determined that the property can be <br /> offered for sale. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Declares the parcel of land (approximately 1,081 square <br /> feet) located on the southwest corner of Peters Avenue <br /> and St. Marys Street as surplus. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City determines that the market value for the <br /> property is $5,405.00. <br /> <br />Section 3. City shall notify all agencies required by law to be <br /> given first opportunity to purchase surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 4. City finds that the most appropriate development pattern <br /> for the area is for use as plottage to the adjacent parcel <br /> to the west, provided that the owner of the adjacent parcel <br /> is willing to pay the fair market value. <br /> <br />Section 5. If no agency wishes to purchase the property, the City <br /> Manager is authorized to negotiate with the adjacent <br /> property owner for purchase of the property. <br /> <br />Section 6.
