CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 84-133 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO O'GRADY <br />PAVING, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE VINEYARD <br />AVENUE BIKE LANE - TOURIGA DRIVE TO AD~MS WAY, <br />PROJECT NO. 83-7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br />construction of the Vineyard Avenue bike lane from <br />Touriga Drive to Adams Way, Project No. 83-7; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Division advertised for <br />bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />bids were reviewed by the City Council on March 27, <br />1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br />$104,428.90 was determined to be the lowest <br />responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc. be accepted; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Metropolitan Transportation Commission has budgeted <br />$75,000 and Alameda County will be Droviding $20,695 <br />to this project and it is necessary for the City of <br />Pleasanton to allocate $11,200 to cover its share of <br />the cost of the project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount <br /> of $104,428.90, for construction of the Vineyard Avenue <br /> bike lane from Touriga Drive to Adams Wav, <br /> Project No. 83-7, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with O'Grady Paving, Inc. for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br /> The sum of $11,200 is allocated from the 1983-84 <br />Capital Improvement Budget to cover the cost of the <br />project in addition to the MTC and Alameda County Funds. <br /> <br /> <br />
