CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-133 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO O'GRADY PAVING, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE VINEYARD AVENUE BIKE LANE - TOURIGA DRIVE TO AD~MS WAY, PROJECT NO. 83-7 WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the construction of the Vineyard Avenue bike lane from Touriga Drive to Adams Way, Project No. 83-7; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on March 27, 1984; and WHEREAS, the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of $104,428.90 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc. be accepted; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission has budgeted $75,000 and Alameda County will be Droviding $20,695 to this project and it is necessary for the City of Pleasanton to allocate $11,200 to cover its share of the cost of the project; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of $104,428.90, for construction of the Vineyard Avenue bike lane from Touriga Drive to Adams Wav, Project No. 83-7, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with O'Grady Paving, Inc. for the improvements specified above. Section 3: The sum of $11,200 is allocated from the 1983-84 Capital Improvement Budget to cover the cost of the project in addition to the MTC and Alameda County Funds.
