CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALamEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-114 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING PARCEL AT PETERS AND BERNAL <br />AS SURPLUS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City owns a small parcel of land (approximately <br />3,700 square feet) located on the northwest corner <br />of Peters Avenue and Bernal Avenue which is a remnant <br />of a lot purchased for Peters Avenue right-of-way, but <br />not required as part of the new street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after discussion with City staff and adjacent property <br />owners, it has been determined that the property can <br />be offered for sale; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Declares the parcel of land (approximately 3,700 square <br />feet) located on the. northwest corner of Peters Avenue <br />and Bernal Avenue as surplus. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City determines that the market value for the <br /> property is $18,500.00. <br /> <br />Section 3: City shall notify all agencies required by law to be <br /> given first opportunity to purchase surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br /> City finds that the most appropriate develoDment <br />pattern for the area is for use as plottage to the <br />adjacent parcel to the west (Marment), provided that <br />the owner of the adjacent parcel is willing to pay <br />the fair market value for this parcel, and authorizes <br />the City Manager to negotiate with the adjacent <br />property owner for purchase of the property. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 28, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br /> <br /> <br />
