Job No. 19447.010 Exhibit A Page 1 of 12 EXHIBIT A PROPOSAL For: TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR PARKING LOT DESIGN AND HYDRO-MODIFICATION MASTER PLAN Consultant agrees to perform the Services as listed in PART I below based on the following stated project status: 1. Project Description: Client intends to develop the 2.1f acre site (APN: 094-0105-001, 094-0105-002-O1 & -02, 094-0106-008-08 and 094-0106-011), a portion of the Transportation Corcidor located between Spring Street and Angela Street, in the City of Pleasanton into a 100f stall parking lot and associated lighting, landscaping and water quality features adjacent to the future City of Pleasanton Firehouse Arts Center, hereinafter called "Project". Client desires to retain Consultant (and its Subconsultan[s) for the performance of civil engineering, land surveying, hydromodification evaluation, landscape architecture, site lighting design and geotechnical evaluation services to the generally accepted standards of practice in effect at the time of performance, for the project which aze hereinafter called the "Services". 2. CEQA clearance completed or Negative Declaration granted, as required. 3. Record of Survey completed (by others). 4. Transportation Corridor Master Plan completed in 1998 by Richard Larson & Associates, currently being updated by Richard Larson & Associates at direction of the City. 5. Phase 1 Environmental Si[e Assessment for the "Alameda County Transportation Corridor" prepared by BSK Associates dated November 7, 2007. Any of the above Services, listed as "completed" or "by others" are not included in Consultant's scope of Services. Any requested Services for these items will be Additional Services. PART I -SCOPE OF CONSULTANT SERVICES A. Civil Enaineerina Services - MacKav & Somos Civil Engineer shall be the Prime Consultant providing the Following general services: 1.0 COORDBQATION/MEETBQGS -Coordination of the project research and design effort by Consultant and Subconsultants. 2.0 RESEARCH/DES[GN BASE -Research, control and surveying to establish appropriate base map, topography and utility information for design effort by Consultant and Subconsultants. 3.0 DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS -Design and preparation of Construction Documents for civil improvements of the Transportation Corridor Parking Lot (adjacent to the Firehouse Arts Center). The general services above are filrther described by the following Task breakdown: 1.0 COORDBJATION/MEETEQGS Task 1.1 Coordination meetings with City throughout the preliminary design process and final design effort, anticipated to consist of bi-weekly meetings with City and Consultant team as well as a 50% and 90% design progress meeting with the City and Consultant team. Task L2 Coordination with team Landscape Architect and City's Landscape Architect to incorporate the Parking Lot and associated design elements with the Transportation Corridor Master Plan. Task 1.3 Coordination with Project Team on design elements of hydro-modification, parking lot landscape and lighting, PG&E power, and geotechnical considerations throughout design effort. Task 1.4 Coordination with property owners adjacent to the Project site as required throughout the design process. Task 1.5 Miscellaneous Coordination with USA Markings, Potholing ConVactor and Bid Coordination. Task 1.6 Project Administration -coordination of all Project Subwnsultants, including administrative tasks related to contractual agreements, insurance and compensation of Subconsultants.
