CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-96 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RELIEF FROM LARGE LOT <br />RESTRICTIONS OF RESIDENTIAL ALLOCATION PROGRiM <br /> <br />~{EREAS, <br /> <br />the Residential Allocation Program provided an <br />exemption for 20,000 square foot lots, said exemp- <br />tion conditioned upon a maximum limitation of ten <br />units to be built in any calendar year per project <br />and a maximum of forty units per year to be built in <br />the City; and <br /> <br />~{EREAS, <br /> <br />the Residential Allocation Program was subsequently <br />repealed but the requirements of that ordinance <br />for exempt projects remained in effect; and <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, <br /> <br />development of those large lot exempt projects has <br />been slower than anticipated, with no year nearing <br />forty units per year nor any developer aDDroaching <br />ten units per year per project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the continuation of the ten units per project, 40 <br />units per year city-wide restrictions no longer <br />serve their initial purpose, said DurDose being <br />better served by allowing market rate buildout on <br />said projects; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> That the maximum of ten units per year Der <br />project restriction for projects apDroved pursuant <br />to the Residential Allocation Program's 20,000 <br />square foot lot special exemption is no longer of <br />any relevance and shall be of no further force and <br />effect. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> That the maximum of forty units to be built in <br />the City in any calendar year in projects exempt <br />under the old Residential Allocation Program <br />20,000 square foot lot sDecial exemption is no <br />longer of any relevance and shall be of no further <br />force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 28, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
