CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-136 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE ELECTION RETURNS <br />AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 2, <br />1999 SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has ordered consolidation of its special municipal election with <br />the statewide general election pursuant to Elections Code Section 10403.5, and <br />such election was held on November 2, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the conduct of such a consolidated election is governed by Elections Code Section <br />10400 et seq., and voting precincts were established for the consolidated election <br />in accordance with the Elections Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the canvass has been duly made for Measure D: <br /> <br />a, <br /> <br />Total ballots cast were 12,788, representing approximately 36.7% of the <br />eligible voters in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />b, <br /> <br />Measure D: "Shall the CAPP Initiave be adopted to amend the General <br />Plan to require voter approval for development projects involving 10 or <br />more residential units or that have commercial or office buildings that <br />exceed 55 feet in height, and other matters as outlined in the Initiative?" <br /> <br />Yes 5,487 <br />No 7,117 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the municipal election consisted of one ballot measure as stated above; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
