CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 84-53 ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT DEED FROM AMADOR VALLEY JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR DEL VALLE PARKWAY UNDERPASS AT I,~STERN PACIFIC RAILROAD WHEREAS, the Alameda County Right-of-Way Department has succeeded in acquiring on behalf of the City of Pleasanton a parcel of land from the Amador Valley Joint Union High School District; and ~EREAS, this land is necessary for the construction of the Del Valle Parkway underDass at the lYestern Pacific railroad crossing; and WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the documents and finds everything to be in order including the purchase price, which conforms to the appraisal accepted by the County on behalf of the City; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 14, 1984, the Citv Council reviewed a report from the Director of Public Works and Utilities indicating that the acceptance of this Grant Deed is in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Authorizes the Director of Public Works to execute the Real Property Purchase Contract. Section 2: Approves the transfer of an approximately 343 sq. ft. parcel from the City to Amador Valley Joint Union High School District as part of the consideration for the right-of-way acquisition and the appropriate City officers are instructed to take whatever action necessary to implement said transfer. Section 3: Authorizes staff to deposit $136,050.00 into escrow for the purchase of said property. Section 4: Authorizes acceptance of the Grant Deed from the Amador Valley Joint Union High School District of Alameda County and Contra Costa County, a public corporation, for purposes of constructing the Del Valle Parkway underpass at Western Pacific Railroad. Section 5: Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Certificate of Acceptance of Real Property.
