CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 84-41 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AGREEING TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF LIVERMORE <br /> PREFERRED BART RAIL ALIGNMENT EAST OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON CITY LIMITS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District has included several <br /> alternative routes for the BART rail alignment east of <br /> Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Phase II of the Livermore-Pleasanton extension is not expected <br /> to be completed until sometime after the completion of Phase I; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Livermore has not made a final decision on the <br /> exact rail alignment east of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton resolves <br /> that the City Council will support the City of Livermore's BART <br /> rail alignment when such alignment has been selected and <br /> approved by the Livermore City Council for Phase II of the <br /> Livermore-Pleasanton extension. <br /> <br />Section 1. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />Section 2.
