CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 84-21 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING BART-LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON <br /> EXTENSION RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 9, 1984, Council received <br /> the report of the Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development (SR 84:21) dated January 9, 1984 which <br /> presented a detailed analysis of the Extension <br /> Study Update; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held at which time the Dublic <br /> was given an opportunity to comment on the Droposals; <br /> <br />NOW, THEPEFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> strongly supports the extension of BART to the <br /> Livermore-Amador Valley as soon as Possible. <br /> <br />Section 2: The route most favored by the City of Pleasanton <br /> is the route along the freeway median until it <br /> reaches the E1Charro Interchange. <br /> <br />Section 3: It is the recommendation of the City Council <br /> that the first phase of BART extension into the <br /> valley be extended beyond the interchange of 1- <br /> 680/1-580 and that Phase I should include two <br /> Pleasanton stations, i.e. the Dublin (Stoneridge) <br /> location and the station shown in Figure V-4 on <br /> page V-21 of the report (located on both sides of <br /> 1-580 immediately west of the future Hacienda <br /> Drive interchange). <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective iff~nediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 9, 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Ja es . ~alker, Cff/cy Clerk <br /> Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br />A~Of72 AS TO FORM: <br /> O. <br />~et'e~'Di MacDonald, Ci~y'Atfforney <br /> <br /> <br />
