On behalf of the Housing Commission, Chairperson Stark thanked Mr. Guest for <br />attending the meeting and providing responses to the Commission's questions. He noted <br />that the Housing Commission must ask these tough questions as stewards of the federal <br />grant funds that are received by the City. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Harris, seconded by Vice Chairperson Casey, <br />to approve the concept of the City approving the sale of abelow-market home to <br />HOUSE, Inc., for the purpose of providing additional housing units for <br />developmentally disabled adults, including a $205,000 loan from of City HOME <br />funds to assist with the purchase. At the request of Chairperson Stark, the motion <br />was amended to emphasize that the agency should explore options for leveraging <br />additional funds.
